Sony Xperia P and Nokia Lumia 800 Comparison

Sony Xperia P and Nokia Lumia 800 both uses different operating systems. Sony Xperia P is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it will get updated to ICS sometimes, while Nokia Lumia 800 is using Windows Phone 7.5 operating system.

Sony Xperia P has 4 inch touch screen display which is larger than the Nokia Lumia 800 3.7 inch display. The display on Sony Xperia P also has a better resolution, 540 x 960 pixels resolution 275 ppi while Nokia Lumia 800 is 480 x 800 pixels resolution 252 ppi. Sony Xperia P also comes with scratch resistant glass with the latest Sony WhiteMagic and Mobile BRAVIA features. While the Nokia Lumia 800 has Corning Gorilla Glass and comes with ClearBlack technology on its display touch screen.

Sony Xperia P has a better performance because it is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, with Mali 400 MP GPU. While Nokia Lumia 800 has 1.4GHz single core processor, Adreno 205 GPU, and 512MB of RAM. Both also have 16GB of internal memory but they’re not equipped with an external memory slot.

Sony Xperia P and Nokia Lumia 800 are both equipped with a powerful 8 MP camera. On Sony Xperia P there is a VGA front camera, while Nokia Lumia 800 does not have a front camera. For the connectivity both are equipped with features like 3G network support HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB, and GPS.

The Sony Xperia P is energized with a battery capacity of 1305mAh, while Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with 1450mAh battery. For this comparison, Sony Xperia P offers better features than the Nokia Lumia 800. Moreover, it also has a cheaper price tag.
